CH4mberPot

Our product will produce renewable energy using the power of methane.

Team Concept

Basically our team concept is to take methane and produce renewable energy from it. We want to develop a design where we can install a large septic system in an apartment complex or condominium and take the waste and the methane produced to create energy that can be used. This concept could help reduce the amount of methane in the atmosphere which could lead to less global warming.

Team Description

The Renewables are a team of seniors from North Miami Beach Senior High. NMB has a magnet program called BEAM (Biomedical and Environmental Advanced Magnet). This program focuses our studies on accelerated math and science courses, such as Ap Statistics, Ap Calculus, Ap Environmental Science, Ap Biology, and Ap Chemistry. Living in Miami increases our understanding of the importance of renewable energy. We are easily effected by pollution and other environmental stress factors.

Joshua Neubert, in regards to your question, the "systems" that we plan to integrate are the drainage fields, not the septic systems. Thanks again for the feedback! With regards, The Renewables.

Joshua Neubert

In your development plan you say that you "plan to integrate current systems", what current systems are you talking about? Current septic systems in Dade county? Something else?

Nancy Conrad

We're very excited that you made it to the finals. Look forward to seeing you at NASA Ames. You'll have a blast.Good luck
