Become a Team Advisor
Students entering the Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Awards competition are required to have a team advisor to guide them through the competition program. The role of the Team Advisor is to provide the support and background information needed along the path of creating a Conrad Award product submission. This guidance includes but need not be limited to:
• Bringing students together to form their team and their concept
• Steering them towards appropriate research and resources to aid in their concept/product development
• Communicating information to students from the Conrad Foundation as the competition process moves along
• Being familiar with rules/guidelines/procedures/deadlines of the competition
Advisors are often teachers, but this is not a requirement. Parents, mentors, coaches, or any other interested adult may fill this role for the students. If you know students who may be interested in joining the Conrad community, please consider being an advisor for their entry to the competition. Submissions for the current Conrad Awards competition are due January 9th; however, if you miss this year’s competition, its never too early to start preparing for next year.
